A main façade makeover and interior renovation project for a detached house in a gated community in Paya Terubong. Designed for a young family with a small child and a love for simple modernist architecture, the makeover aimed for a cost-effective structural alteration without compromising the design aesthetic that the owner is looking for. On the first floor where the main living, dining and kitchen are, the opening is maximized to allow ample daylight into the house and natural cross ventilation through the space. The L-shaped balcony wrapping 2 sides of the main space is installed with full height sliding sunscreens to cut down the sun glares and rain as well as provide daytime privacy.
